Our little baby...

Last, but certainly not least, is our most exciting news from 2011...
We are going to have a baby in October!  It is a girl :)  We don't know what we want to name her yet, but right now she is getting a "name of the day."  She has been Kennedy, Carly, McKenzie, Kalli, Brynn, Eden, Avery, and many other names...we're just seeing what comes naturally and what kind of "sticks."  Yep, it will probably not be determined until she is born, but it's fun to play around with.
My belly has just started getting bigger...and I know there is still a lot more belly to come.  Fun, fun, fun!  Luckily maternity pants are very comfy :)

A new home...

We are currently in the process of purchasing a home in the Riverton area.  Jon has been commuting to work for over a year and we're ready to be closer to his workplace.  Since I graduated from BYU in April and now I'm done teaching Kindergarten for the year, we are no longer tied to Provo.  We're excited to move into a new place, although we will miss our Provo friends a lot!

India Dinner...an annual March event.  March 2011

It is tradition to go to the India Palace (or eat Indian food) each March :)  I don't know how exactly it ended up being March, but it is.  Anyway, Lindsay, Sarah, Liz, and I went to India during the summer of 2007.  We fell in love with the people (especially our cute students!) and the food.  We like to reminisce each year.  In addition to reminiscing, we predict what our lives will be like during the future year.  This year was a little different than last because usually Lindsay, Sarah, Emily (who didn't actually come to India but is an honorary member of the India group!), and I have dinner together.  But this year, Sarah and Emily are on missions, so Lindsay and I invited our wonderful husbands along for the night.  It was great to keep up the tradition :)

Y-Ball, February 2011

We were on a planning committee for the BYU married student ball, aka the Y-Ball.  We helped to plan the event from November 2010-February 2011.  It turned out to be a huge success!  It was a dress-up event held in the Hinckley Alumni center on campus.  We had a dinner (catered by Magleby's), dessert, dancing, pictures, and limo rides.  The event was free for couples to attend.  It was a wonderful evening full of LOVE :)

Costa Rica Dec. 2010-Jan. 2011

We were in San Jose, Costa Rica with the Barlows from the day after Christmas until January 2.  What a great trip!  It was tropical and beautiful down there.  The roads are all very curvy and narrow so getting places was a trick...but it was well worth it!  We saw extinct volcanoes, saw lots of animals (including beautiful birds, cute monkeys, alligators,  colorful butterflies, and big snakes), went on a huge zip line through the rain forest, browsed through the main city shopping area, rode in an awesome rental vehicle (Buddy the Budget Bus), hung out on the beach, watched some of the boys fly on a para-glider thingy on the beach, went to the temple, and saw some beautiful sunsets!  It was a wonderful family vacation :)
